Ardoino da

Piacenza (d. January 21, 1183) - Italian Card inal. A native of Piacenza, where he was an archdeacon of the loc al cathedral chapter. He belonged to the Congregation of Canons R egular S. Frediano di Lucca. Probably in June 1178, Pope Alexande r III appointed him cardinal-deacon of S. Maria in Via Lata, and in September the same year promoted to the rank of Cardinal-Priest of S. Croce in Gerusalemme. Signed the papal bulls between July 4, 1178 and on 8 January 1183 He participated in the papal election, 1181
